About Blur Face
Blur Face is a privacy-focused Android and iOS app built by kajda.com Adrian Kajda. The app processes all photos and videos locally on your device - nothing is sent to external servers. Your content stays private and secure on your phone.
This privacy policy explains how Blur Face handles your data and privacy. Since the app works entirely offline, we don't collect or store your personal information.
By using Blur Face, you agree to this privacy policy. Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing to share with third parties beyond what's described below regarding advertising and analytics.
Information Collection and Use
No Personal Data Collection
Blur Face does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app works entirely offline on your device.
No Face Data Collection
We are using local APIs to detect faces that are already on your phone. We don't collect any face data. For Apple we are using Vision, for Android we are using ML Kit models that are on your phone.
Video-specific note: Face detection and blurring for videos occur entirely on-device. Detection quality may vary by frame, lighting, motion, and occlusions. We do not guarantee that all faces will be consistently detected or blurred across an entire video.
What we DON'T collect:
- No user accounts or registration required
- No personal information (name, email, phone, etc.)
- No photos are uploaded to our servers (we don't have backend servers)
- No location data
- No contact lists
Google AdMob Advertising (Android only)
This app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data, including device information, app usage data, and interactions with ads, to personalize the ads shown to you. This includes but is not limited to your device's advertising ID and information about the apps you use.
We use Google's Consent Management Solution to obtain user consent for ad personalization where required by law. You will have the option to accept or decline personalized ads when first using the app or at any time by accessing the app's consent settings.

Log Data
We want to inform you that whenever you use our Service, in a case of an error in the app we collect data and information (through third-party products – Google Crashlytics) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your anonymized device Internet Protocol ("IP") address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilising our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics.

Android:
iOS version is not using any third-party services. We are using native Vision API for detecting faces. For iOS we don't serve ads.
Cookies
Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. These are sent to your browser from the websites that you visit and are stored on your device's internal memory.
This Service does not use these "cookies" explicitly. However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use "cookies" to collect information and improve their services. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies and know when a cookie is being sent to your device. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of this Service.
Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies and individuals due to the following reasons:

Security
Local Processing Only
All face detection and blurring happens directly on your device. Your photos and videos never leave your phone, ensuring maximum privacy and security.
Since Blur Face doesn't collect or transmit your personal data, your privacy is protected by design. The app works completely offline, so there's no risk of data breaches or unauthorized access to your content.
However, the app does use third-party services (Google Play Services, AdMob, Firebase) that may collect anonymous usage data and advertising information as described in their respective privacy policies.

This Service may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. Children's Privacy
These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. In the case we discover that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we immediately delete this from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we will be able to do the necessary actions.

Since we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) don't apply. However:
- You control all your content (it stays on your device)
- You can delete the app anytime to remove all app data
- You can manage ad preferences through your device settings
App Store Payments
Payment Privacy
All in-app purchases are processed entirely by the app stores (Google Play Store or Apple App Store). We do not see, collect, or store any payment information, purchase history, or buyer details.
Blur Face offers in-app purchases/subscriptions (such as upgrading to PRO version) that are handled completely by the app stores:
- Google or Apple processes all payments and manages purchase records
- We do not receive any personal or payment information about purchasers
- We only receive anonymous purchase confirmations to unlock app features
- All refund requests must be made through Google Play Store or Apple App Store
- Your payment data is governed by the respective store's privacy policies (Google or Apple), not ours
